I second Ethereal, good program

it will only work for your local network. unless you are on wireless and you want to sniff other peoples connections. what are you exactly trying to do?

I used something called "Iris Network Traffic Analyzer" recently... worked great

did u get hacked?

Ethereal is excellent, but is basically a frontend for tcpdump, so if you've got the skillz...

tcpdump/snoop is the way to go

i have a very good one if you still need one :)

its what i use and its pretty hard to get ahold of.
