If he kept getting away with it, it would be only a matter of time before he escalated to molestation. He's obviously sick, and the US justice system (like most) doesn't help sick people, this guy would have been back on the street in under a year with no treatment. I'm with RFlagg and va2k on this one, some people are just asking for vigilante justice.

You either shoot him because he's on your property without allowance or you tell him to fuck off and that you'll shoot him if he comes back but beating somebody almost to death really isn't the way to go in that case.And I'm pretty sure that at least some of them will get into prison because this really wasn't a way to handle this.

While I disagree and am horrified with the attitude that what he did wasn't just one rung on the ladder leading towards sexual abuse, I can't say I condone six people ganging up on one. Neither do I trust the justice system to keep our kids safe from predators.....they say that sexual predators are the WORST repeat offenders, and they repeat their assaults on average 100 times, not necessarily on the same victim.
If your child was abused, and that predator had abused before (and peeping or stalking IS abuse), been "treated" or punished, and went on to abuse yours, you'd think differently.
You have to understand that pedos are SICK, and they have a compulsion that is harder to beat than drug or alcohol addiction. Like addiction, you have to WANT to stop. Most don't want to stop, they just want to stop being caught.

This is why we have a justice system...it keeps me from walking out my door and grabbing my neighbor who I don't like and forcing him into my house at gun point and blowing his head off and claiming it was self defense.

And for those who said you can shoot someone in your yard...better rethink that position...it all varies state to state...in most cases you can't shoot to defend yourself unless they are inside your house...in Texas you can shoot someone who is stealing your property...even if it's the car repo man...either way we are supposed to be a "civilized" society..this is not how civilized societies act.

While we seem to differ on the other thread...I lean to your way of thinking on this one. What he did was wrong and he should be punished, (assuming, of course, that he did it, which, as you pointed out, isn't clear), but six on one isn't the way to do it.
