I couldn't buy a Dell or a Gateway. I wouldn't be able to stay out from under the cover until the warranty expired:1orglaugh

well my hubby usually custom builds our machines but I needed this NOW because mine was making death rattle sounds. Dell had a sale and we took it up. We shall see.

My new Dell just shipped this morning. I dread the thought of re-installing all my software and settings, but my P2 (yes TWO) which was anyway cobbled together from bits from various expired machines, has been throwing fits for months.

I would probably have lived with that because I'm really not into replacing hardware so long as it actually fires up. But without XP (which my box won't support) there are getting to be too many other programs I need and cannot run.

no, it is just that it has been a long running joshing thing between me and my hubby that I was sick of oatmeal coloured things and wanted sexy black. He order it black as a suprise which was nice of him. Course I still have my oatmeal monitor but hey, babysteps.

Getting a new computer is always nice :) I got a new one about a month ago and it's so much fun setting it up and playing with it! It's pretty cool too when your new computer is much faster than your old one.

Isn't black the only color Dells come in???

Dell rocks, my laptop is a Dell and I love it.

Gonna buy a Dell desktop soon as well.

I know they have some nice offers. My mom was going to buy a Dell last week, but I ended up building a completely custom one for her instead.

well, I went totally legit with my XP a while ago and I pay for what needs to be paid for and isn't shareware. I believe in rewarding people that help me earn a living.

Good choice on the black one. I want a black one too. But I want an alienware if I have to get a pc. Otherwise I'm grabbing a dual G5.

New pc's are nice, Im getting a new one this week

nah they come in other colors too, metalic blue, etc. They are trying to get more like apple on their laptops, also. And they are selling Alienware type cases overseas.

G5, nice choice. My next computer will definitely be a apple, waiting to make my decision because there have been alot of buzz about them comming out with a G5 laptop next year.

sifnt customize your own pc.. Dell etc are all rip offs!

I recently bought a Dell I had to send it back because it kept restarting for no apparent reason.

Even after I Formated C:\ and reinstalled windows.

It must of been a hardware problem.

Formatting C:\ is the first thing I do to a computer after getting it from a company like Dell or Gateway.

It's the fastest way to remove all the default crap they put on there.
