How do you put the marching ants effect around the edge of a banner?

the marching ants banner was my invention - did it two years ago.

tootie's ain't bad but it's not the real deal - what u do is make the actual marching ants selection in Photoshop at the right size to go around the banner then screencap it a bunch of times, blow up the image huge so u can see the pattern of the marching ants, then put them in order and make an animated gif.

I saw the marching ants around a banner at least 4-5 years ago. I couldn't duplicate it at the time because I was using Paint Shop Pro and didn't know a whole hell of alot, yet, but it's been around for a loooooong time.

Not saying you're a liar, Mutt, just that you may not have seen it before you did it the first time. :)

My way isn't perfect, but it's ALOT faster. :winkwink:

i never saw a dancing ants border before i did mine 2 years ago - that's why i had to do it the hard way. not saying it didn't exist but i had never seen it before.
