Overture: How reliable for type-ins?

So I found a recently dropped domain with roughly 3400 in overture, no alexa rating or anything though.

It's a 2 word combo that's not used as a phrase, but I can see it being used in a search engine.

In your experience does Overture ranking directly relate to the type-ins, or can a combo with 3400 rank get very little to no typeins?

Domain w/no extension in Overture = Meaningless.

What is important is how much the domain ranks with tld (.com).

Not quite sure what you mean.. it is a .com domain

Edit: Nm, I think i gotcha.. so I should look for "keyword1 keyword2 .com" in overture?

How would that affect typeins though? That'd be for an already established domain with a reader base who are looking for that domain exactly.
I'm thinking more among the lines of a random browser type-in, not search engine typein with a com extension

He means,

You need to type in "TwoWords.com" not "Two words" or "TwoWords".

Overture is not very accurate on its own. You need to be sensible. Why would the domain be getting type ins?

Can you tell us what the domain is or have you not registered it yet?

He said it's dropping..

This would help for your question to be answered. If the domain is yet to be registered, then that is understandable.

Ah ok gotcha

I was thinking more among the lines of surfer just randomly typing "keyword+com" into the browser, to see if there is a website at that address that'd give him what he wants :Graucho

I guess that'd work only for either 1 word domains or a very famous phrase.

I haven't registered the domain, but it's asstiny.com so if anyone wants it, knock yourself out
"ass tiny" has close to 3400 overture... I didn't think that it'd have a great typein value, so figured I'd check with people who have experience with that :glugglug

EDIT:
He said it's dropping..
Dropped early August :)

Ass tiny doesn't have 3400 overture, "tiny ass" does, however Overture is a piece of shit at times, and displays popular search phrases backwards.

Linguist 08-17-2004 11:57 PM

Count Search Term
3391 ass tiny

Is what it gives me

I guess you're right about it displaying things backwards though.. that's new info to me
