Very odd thing to be in a contract. Are your employees more susceptable to becoming scientologists than the general public? Why would they need to sign something like that? It's not like there's a scientologist on every street corner?

Well, it's not that uncommon where I live. Out employment laws are quite employee friendly which means you can't just fire people. By putting this into the employment contract it gets much easier in case they are or become scientologist members.

I can only guess that you have a scientology church right next to your place of business. There was one on the strip across from UT where I use to go to school. Their 'evangelists' could be VERY annoying.

I am in Hollywood. There are at least 5 huge scientology places here including the celebrity center. The members wear creepy military like uniforms and will approach you in stores and on the street to become one in their cult of freaks. They are creepy! And I have absolutely no problem telling them they are creepy when approached
