WTF?! Some idiot just left me a package at the door and left..

I ordered an ATI X800 Pro and some fucking dumbass from Canada Post just delivered it, left the package outside and took off..

There was nobody home and he didn't leave a "you were not home" card.. WTF? Anybody passing by had the opportunity to get a free X800 video card..

:1orglaugh

I swapped out the fried chip on mine for the new one on yours and placed it back on your doorstep

Vitasoy 08-17-2004 01:22 PM

I hate it when that happens. Those lazy ass mofos.

Often it depends on what the shipper instructed them to do or did not ask them to do.

It was a package.. Aren't they supposed to leave a card if you're not home? I've always received a card before.

cafeaulait 08-17-2004 01:46 PM

Depends if it's your postman or if it's the delivery trucks. I think the postman will leave you a note, the delivery guy drops them off - nothing to sign. I'd still make a complaint with Canada Post.

Elli 08-17-2004 01:50 PM

Yeah for a few months now they've been knocking on the door and leaving right away, leaving the box on the doorstep. I'm lucky you can't see my door from the road.

Fake Nick 08-17-2004 01:51 PM

write a complaint saying you never got the card , they have no way of proving you did

hahahaha! That's a good idea.. But I'm too honest, I won't do that. I'll file a complaint that's for sure..

Face (o_0) 08-17-2004 01:59 PM

what you get a new card for and what are you upgrading from?

Slick 08-17-2004 02:01 PM

I myself perfer to have them just leave it on my porch because I know that when I have a goodie coming, I don't wanna have to wait another day for them to catch me at home, it's just nice having it there.

For FedEx, I have a waiver on file to give them permission to just drop it off.

One other option would be that if you know it's coming, you should put a note on your door and either tell them not to leave it there or to place it somewhere like inside a back porch or something.

I suppose for me though, I live in a small town where I can feel safer with a package on my steps for a couple of hours, but I'm sure in certain areas, it wouldn't sit there long, ha ha ha.

Not sure about canada, here they can leave it if delivery confirmation or signature is not required.

They do make fuck ups though. Had a dell desktop delivered to my house that I did not order. I was nice and had it brought down the street to the person it was meant for since I recongnized the name.
