does anyone know of a good server CP?
 

I need a good Control Panel for my new server but I don't want C-Panel because someone on here said a while back that it can be hacked easily. (and no I don't remember who posted it)

So does anyone have an alternative that will manage all my domains and shit?

those two are pretty good panels

plesk, ensim, h-sphere.

those are the major ones

plesk is kinda crappy, ensim i would pick out of the lot.

i dont use a control panel on my boxes i do everything from the command line, but if i were having customers i would pick cpanel and just make sure its always up to date with security patches. i know there was an issue with the guestbook where it was hackable, and they did come out with a fix for that. but ensim is nice. i know a lot of dedicated providers like ev1servers gives you ensim with there boxes. but if you order right from ensim its a bit pricey.

DirectAdmin is not to bad... Haven't used any control panels since i'm a techie but have heard good things about it.

Stay far away from Plesk unless you like shelling out mad cash everytime something bad happens, and that is frequently, It's pay as you go, pay 1k now, and another 1k a year in support. they won't answer a thing unless you have a support pack or pay, if your hosting company doesnt offer this support, then definatelly toss this decision out the window, besides, its not even that great, Cpanel rocks,

all things have their security problems, keep your cpanel updated and youll have no problems

At first glance it looks as if you are asking what a good server is for cp, suggesting you are looking for cp hosting.

We use cPanel on all our servers and our clients are happy with it. I would recomend cPanel! :thumbsup :2 cents:
