<font color="#F8E3FF">I recently signed up for a webspace account with you (my signup details are below my signature). Today I notice that your page (and thus the pages of my site) are forcing downloads to surfer's computers and auto-bookmarking scripts. After conversing with many other adult webmasters and TGP owners about this practise, I have come to the conclusion that this practise is not only not ethical but also it's just plain not very nice at all.

This is really a crying shame, because your freehost looked awesome at first -- nice amount of space, unlimited b/w, ftp access, and nice clean headers and footers too. That is absolutely all a webmaster could want in a freeshost, EXCEPT for your auto-bookmarking scripts that download shit to the surfer's computer without their consent.

Unless something is done about this I will be forced to cancel my account (thus inconveniencing me greatly and wasting over 7 hours of my time already spent setting up the site on your server), but I will also have to blacklist you on my TGP, and recommend to other webmasters that they do likewise. I'm not trying to threaten anyone in any way at all, but I do want to make it clear exactly how I and several dozen other successful adult webmasters feel about the practise of forcing the downloading of crap to someone's computer without at least ASKING them first if it's okay.

Btw, the hun (www.thehun.net) says that he has you blacklisted because you are redirecting your 404 traffic.

By all means let me know if you are willing to be flexible about this, and I will consider remaining on your server, and I will also begin recommending you highly to other webmasters too. Other than the above mentioned problem, your freehost is absolutely terrific. Unfortunately, the one problem you do have (auto-bookmarking) is a major deal-breaker, at least for me.

Also, megafreehost.com (believe it's run by some guys from Netpond) is a cheating host.

They delete pages and redirect traffic to their sponsors.

I signed up at first, built a site and had it listed at Tommy's Bookmarks. Within 6 hours it was going 404 on me. I wrote them a strongly worded email and didn't receive a response, but the site was back up the next day. I didn't quite trust them, but I built 6 more sites on their hosting and they were accepted at Tommy's and Greenguys, as well as some smaller places like Kool Kat Links (seems to be dead now. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/frown.gif). I look at my Paycounter stats and there is no traffic on those sites now. Funny, 'cause I built one site per day for them and got listed by the biggest link lists. Why no traffic? My account was deleted for no reason. I haven't received an email response from them.

I kept all the images within limits, it was legal content owned by me, everything was above board. It's pretty evident if I'd been listed at Tommy's - I mentioned in the email that if they questioned his judgement in reviewing my sites, then they should mail him [email protected]

Like I said I never got a response.

They dont allow TGP traffic. Its stated in their Terms.

I had an account with them, got posted on the hun. They deleted my account (404 - rdirect to sponsor) and thehun banned them.

So, if you send them TGP traffic - they will do whatever they want with your pages.

CDSmith, this damn auto-bookmarking and auto changing the 1st page of the browser is more than annoying. Most of the times, the 1st page is a search engine (non-adult) that pays per search generated. Personally, I contact the non-adult sponsor informing for the situation and they take proper actions.
