I got an apartment on balboa island, but my main house is up on the hill in Newport. Cool little pub down there called "The Village Inn".

Not a chance in hell.

In Newport, you cant get a 2 bedroom apartment for under 1,650/month.

In costa mesa, or other bordering (cheaper) cities, you can get a 2 bedroom for probably 1,250.00/month.

Even in not so nice or "ghetto" areas in Orange County you cannot rent a 2 bedroom for $700, if you are very lucky you might get a studio for $800, not even a 1 bedroom... You could maybe get a 2 bedroom in a super ghetto area for like 950-1k if you don't mind not having no covered/gated parking and having a bunch of gangsta's and cholas for your neighbors...

Real estate is ridiculous here... even in ghetto areas like Westminster or Garden Grove houses are like $600,000 for just an "average" house, nothing fancy. If you want to live on the beach it's definitely 600k and up for most places I think...

Yeah, you could get one... but your neighbors will be Hector the crack seller and Juanita the single mother with 5 kids.

Or in another area your neighbors would be Tyrese the carjacker and Shazam the dope addict.

The 2br apartment i had 2 years ago was $1175 a month in a decent area of Tustin. I believe its more now though.

Friends of mine pay $950 for a small 1br place.
