A quick thumb for gallery submitting!? "Those thumbs dont deserve such efforts. " !!!!!!! ??????
When you get listed on thumb preview sites your thumb is the most important part of your gallery... and you have a LOT of competition especially when the TGP owner is smart and uses a script like comus that sorts the thumbs by clicks. On my one TGP you can get completely knocked out if your thumb doesn't get enough clicks to stay up on the page .. and I've got over 1k of galleries in my database that your thumb has to compete with.
I submit 5 galleries per day and I take the time to find just the right image.. I usually end up cropping every single image in the gallery in different places to find just right crop .. and then take the time to sharpen it and do any contrast and colour balance adjustments etc. to get it PERFECT.
And it pays off .. I recently spent $30 on a paid spot on bunny teens and the thumb ended up in the #1 spot in the hall of fame for 2 weeks. That was $30 and 10 minutes of cropping and fine-tuning well spent... it would have been money down the drain if I used some auto-cropping tool to produce a crappy thumb that no one would click on.
