Photoshop 6 Batch Question

I need to do a batch save on a bunch of files. I used to complain about how photoshop CS would constantly bring up the "save as" prompt after every file had been changed in a batch, but i'm beginning to wish i hadn't sold it now.

So i'm back with photoshop 6, which doesn't bring up the prompt. But what i need to do now is be prompted with the options 'cause i need to change the image quality of the pics.

So.. can anyone tell me how to bring up the prompt after each image, or better yet, how to create an action that is not location specific? I mean, if i create a "save as" action, it makes the save as location the same for every file. Is there a way i can prevent that? Thanks.

I was always trying to get rid of those...

You can check to see If override save commands is checked in the automation window... I'm not sure if that is a PS7 thing or not...

Lets try this it is more informative.

This is based of photoshop 7...
If you add the save steps into the batch, and check overide action "save as" commands in the batch window--> you will not get a save as screen.

It gets fuzzy here...

If you want the save as screen to pop up with your quality settings window do not check overide action "save as" commands...

It should be really close, but unfortunatly I haven't batched with PS 6
