Recently The Bootylogist ( who already disappeared from GFY ) wanted to buy some old nicknames so that he could sell his sig, lol :1orglaugh
Anyway, without thinking much I replied he can have my nick for $25k and Equinox said he can have his for $30k.

I know this is a hypothetical question, but would YOU sell the nickname people recognize you in this biz?
Obviously this should be a secret and you wouldn't be able to tell everyone that Battus, CumSensei, DarkJedi, Equinox or whatever isn't you anymore.

The nickname can say a lot or very less about a person.

Lensman's nick is worth a lot but Bill Gates is known by his real name, the business man behind the Nick.

My nick tells people i'm a flamer, troll, spammer and a pot smoker.

That's why i decided to launch my Gallerybooster.com project under my real name, the business man and mind behind my Nickname.

Some people see the nickname 'Reak' as a good guy because those people really know me or doing business with me.

But for '' average joe '' on GFY i'm still the swoit spammer and pot smoking idiot.

My nickname on the board IS my name in the business. I can't see selling mine for peanuts, and in the long-term, $50K is peanuts. If you suffer from shortsightedness then of course you'd sell out for ten or twenty grand.

I can't see myself selling out though. It would have to be a very tempting offer.

Seriously i've my nick since the commodore 64 cracking scene (that's around 1988).

I talked to someone few days ago and he told me that old nicknames on GFY ( registered in 2001, 2002 with high postcount ) are ocassionally sold to other webmasters indeed.
