Butterfly Effect was laughably bad. It was like a bad version of BEDAZZLED but with nightmares instead of wishes.
I thought it was suprisingly good.. a little predictable, but still good. Plus yeah it was good to see Ashton stretch his acting legs a little from the boring idiot roles he usually plays.
seen it! wicked movie :)
I thought it was pretty good. Different type of movie for Ashton
I ordered the movie on demand a few nights ago.
I was pleasantly surprised ;) |

jesus....that is like saying it was as bad a something about mary....and nothing has yet to touch the horribleness of something about mary |
i liked the movie alot, i enjoy movies with different twists and different styles, its outside of the normal blow up bad guy movie.
if you liked that movie you should like Frailty even better, now that is movie with an unsupecting ending. :) |

hahahaha.....once again....clueless. |
I kinda wanted to see it at theaters, but said Id wait for DVD, now that its on DVD, I kinda wanna see it, but I can wait till its on cable..:)
it was a pretty good movie considering aston kutcher was in it
It was an ok movie if you ask me. I was never a big fan of Aston. The only thing that he has on tv that is actually worth watching everytime is Punkd.
I've yet to see the movie but Ashton Kutchor is one of the worst actors IMO...right behind Ben Afflect. :(

Many reviewers thought it was a black version of Bedazzled. The guy goes back and tries different things/ways but it always go wrong no matter what. I think it was a good analogy. You can't compare a comedy with a drama, but this time, both movies were funny. The laughs in "The Butterfly Effect" are many, but they're also unintentional. I really tried to like that movie, I found myself laughing at the most inappropriate times mainly because I was waiting for Ashton to start cracking up. There's one shot of him crying while sitting in a wheelchair and he has stubs for arms that are sort of pointed in funny angles. I almost lost it. I couldn't help it. A stub-armed Ashton Kutcher is funny! So sue me. And don't even get me started on the sequence set in prison where Kutcher offers himself up as a prison bitch to some skinheads. Oh man, that was a scream. |

Take a look at this linky http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/butterfly_effect/ it has some horrible reviews. :) .5/4 "Dude, where's my memory?" -- Linda Cook, QUAD CITY TIMES (DAVENPORT, IA) Hahahaha.. |
Although I have seen the theme used in books and movies many times before, I still enjoyed the film. :)
Watch the director's cut, it has a different ending. That ending really made the movie.
I liked the movie and really liked the alternative ending....especially after repeated viewings...
everyone talks about Ashton Kutcher, but forgets about the great performance by Elden Henson |
