Look, I am tired of seeing you christian pussies use this phrase.

The reason there are no atheists in foxholes is because we will not die in a war for your fucking god or your oil.

I don't think that is what the phrase means.

... it means that everybody converts when they are in a foxhole because they are in a war and close to death..... kinda like why all old folks get religious... they need to believe there is something after this life waiting for them.

I know what the phrase means, I am saying theres not many ATHEISTS in the army either.

there is a God, its man kinds worst mistake to try to explain Him, i belive in something more but i will never try to explain it, i believe we will die and its nothing the human mind could have even fatemed.

That's what the phrase means BUT it may not capture the whole range of reactions of people in the same situation.

Other people may look inward into their lives and seek inner peace from an interesting life lived rather than reach OUTWARDS to supernatural entities for meaning.

Even if somebody does start to PRAY it is still that individual who gives MEANING to his act and his prayer.
