Just Saw AVP. ( Excellent Movie)
 

I just got back from seeing AVP, i give it a 9, movie was great and the storyline was sterling.:thumbsup

Put down the crack pipe, that movie is a 3 at best.

The predators win by the way but they leave it wide open for AVP 2. The black chick lives too and she even becomes buddies with a predator and gets a special hunter mark.

I almost mentioned how the predators came to Earth hundreds of years ago and in exchange for providing sacrifices to grow aliens, the predators taught humans how to build crap like pyramids. I'd hate to give it all away though so I won't mention that part of it.

Mostly it does suck. If you can get it for free or something then watch it but otherwise wait until it is in the $5.50 bargain bin at Wal-Mart. You shouldn't have a long wait. pxxx works there when he's not flipping burgers, maybe he'll set one aside for you.

What I don't get: Was the final scene supposed to be an ominous presage for the sequel? If so, it's a pretty weak attempt. I mean if an alien can't even kill an entire unarmed human crew aboard a space ship, what chance does an alien have against a fully armed-to-the-teeth crew of Predators?

Yup that was pretty lame. The thing wouldn't last about 2 seconds but I have the funny feeling that it will hide, grow up, and get hungry just in time for AVP2: The Final Battle or whatever ghey title they give it.
