I love Reflected.

baddog 08-13-2004 12:24 PM

hehe . . .I can beat that easily, with prices so low, I can't even post them, you will have to contact me direct

ICQ 16075497

of course, since foundrynap is reselling a host whose name is banned here, that is probably not too difficult :)

wonder what they did to deserve that

JSA Matt 08-13-2004 12:25 PM

IF someone's going to play the 'i can beat them game' and the client falls for it, I'd rather have a few select clients who understand the meaning of quality.

BTW, we dont resell anyone. We have all our own equipment, and purchase the bandwidth from upstreams - much like how you resell Verio.

We also have our own datacenter in Irving, Texas with a mix of Savvis and Abovenet - which beats out your Verio any day, and add our management and you've got yourself a sweet deal on a dedicated server.

Not to mention the fact we are multi-homed, and you are not - so if clients feel that they can rely on ONE carrier to stay up all the time, good luck with that.

We are fully redundant and multi-homed in both datacenters.

New Jersey has our main upstream which you are talking about, along with a direct backup to Savvis so if anything should happen to our primary, BGP takes over and everything stays up and is on Savvis until primary comes back up.

Not to much you can say about your single-homed Verio now is there.

Good for reflected, we also have a higher quality of carriers and we also dont compete on price.

If you want to be cheap, we arnt the host for you.
If you care about your business, and want to KNOW your site will be up - then we are the host for you.

Now go, you're missing Temple.

www.swiftwill.com

Cheaper, global crossing, multi-homed.

Magg 08-13-2004 12:39 PM

Nope, NOT EVEN global crossing (which isnt that great in itself!):
AND they are NOT multi-homed - they only have ONE upstream

Swiftwill.com = CARI which then = COGENT and WILLIAMS - one of two WORST carriers.

Dont believe me?

http://www.fixedorbit.com/cgi-bin/cg...=swiftwill.com

Theres Swiftwill's upstream, now check out CARI:

Magg 08-13-2004 12:43 PM

If you guys actually believe everything youre posting here, I dont even want to know how many other people are being LIED to by their hosts.

You dont see me telling people I have:

1) Carriers I DONT have.
2) Lieing about being multi-homed
3) Competing based on price which is the lowest form of advertising.
4) TROLLING

DavidVH 08-13-2004 12:43 PM

can you icq me about your DC in irving?

I commend Reflected because I actually have never seen them lie about their connectivity. Only bad thing that is on them is what Oracle did, as it reflects on them.

Moose 08-13-2004 01:19 PM

swiftwill does have global.

I do know that.
fixedorbit is not the end all of everything host related.

WarChild 08-13-2004 01:21 PM

Going on 3 years of hosting at swiftwill.

Only downtime I've had was planned downtime to upgrade routers.

I have paid substantially less than you are offering and I get ICQ support 24/7.

http://www.swiftwill.com .. It's a better deal guys, I guarantee you that.

From a Global Crossing server to Swiftwill, it goes straight to Williams.

Don't be an idiot - seriously. Fixedorbit listed WorldCom on my AS 2 months before I even ordered it. It fucks up. Traceroutes & Looking Glasses don't reflect 100% what your setup may be. They can miss MPLS bandwidth - if you also have one of your peers setup for unidirectional bandwidth traces may not see it either.

QuaWee 08-13-2004 01:33 PM

Magg, is trying to get some sells and you guys spam the thread:ak47:

Magg 08-13-2004 01:33 PM

I've run traceroutes now from a bunch of differant carriers, not ONE goes over anything but WCG.

Far far from a troll.

Just pointing out the obvious.

Magg 08-13-2004 01:50 PM

Wasnt talking to you Moose, its not obvious since you are using an IP which isnt the same as what swiftwill.com is on.

Remember the trolls?

How is it trolling to point out to the community that there's much better pricing than your offer around.

You can say what you want about uptime, reliability etc etc .. But I've been with Swiftwill for 3 years .. All of my partners are with Swiftwill .. Amongst the people I know personally we're using close to a gig pipe ourselves. Guess what? No downtime.

Not to mention Dweeks is a server optimization guru. One of my servers runs pinned at 100mbits almost constantly .. And without a problem too.
