Can you get Aids from Oral Sex?

Yo,

If a girl sucks me off and swallows, can she catch the AIDS virus?

I was under the impression that the acids of the stomach would kill off any aids virus in the cum.

Am I wrong?

Badgurl 05-30-2001 03:11 AM

Big big big time wrong.

Uhmm...

If you have aids..and you're having unprotected sex.

boneprone 05-30-2001 03:14 AM

Son of rage is a virgin and has no girlfriend.. He is just trying to learn the art of disease transfer..

What I would like to know is the transfer of the herpies virus vial oral sex.. This one has always stumped me.

Badgurl 05-30-2001 03:20 AM

Oh, I see...

So, I take it Expo is gonna be droppin dead of aids in a few months...

Tragic

TheWatcher 05-30-2001 03:21 AM

The AIDS virus can mutate and be imune to any form of defense that the body can create so far.

So yes Sonofrage you can get AIDS if your girlfriend sucks you off and you have it.

Peace will come, just kill them all...

boneprone 05-30-2001 03:23 AM

boneprone 05-30-2001 03:26 AM

I always liked french apple ice cream. But I just can find it anymore.. Anyone else have this problem??

Susan 05-30-2001 04:01 AM

Aids can enter the blood stream via any small scratch in the throat or from open wounds left when cleaning teeth.

Don't treat the subject as a joke.

bearbelly 05-30-2001 01:07 PM

yeah, and you can get std's from receiving oral sex http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/frown.gif

boneprone 05-30-2001 01:09 PM

can you really? If I were to recive oral I could get std from the girl or guy giving it to me? Like could I get herpies from reciving? You sure?

Kat - Fast 05-30-2001 01:12 PM

Sarah_Jayne 05-06-2003 02:36 AM

HIV just loves mucus membranes and your mouth is one big one. Yes, you can. Does it happen often? Heavily debated. That said, HIV is not the only STD out there and as the others said herpes for sure can be had through oral.

Corleone 05-06-2003 07:15 AM

yes...

hell always use condoms.. !!!

TheFLY 05-06-2003 07:19 AM

There goes the neighborhood.

Gimmy 05-06-2003 07:22 AM

Chances are very low, since very few strains of HIV virus was found in the saliva. Chances are low, but still there is some possibility. However, if a guy has the virus and a girl gives him head, then the girl will most likely contract the virus, since the semen of an HIV infected person is loaded with the virus.

Can her pores absorb the AIDS from a facial?

I hear pore absorption is bad news...

Yes, herpies can be transferred via oral sex. I once had a small form of herpies on my lower lip and my gf had a very very small "wound" on one of her labia from one of her g-strings.

I performed oral sex on her (we both not thinking too much about it), around 3 days later she had nasty herpies on her outer labia.

It looked really really nasty and it supposedly itched like hell.

She went to the doctor and got medication. Took like a week for it to go back to normal.

dapproid 05-06-2003 07:28 AM

I would stay off it anyway. Sorry if I didn't catch it but what is the reason for asking?

Yes, but you are being silly. Most people on this planet have oral herpies already -- you get it from your parents at birth -- unless you were never kissed by your parents. Most people don't even know they have oral herpies...

You don't get genital herpies in your mouth -- that's why it's called genital herpies LOL -- you catch it from genital contact.

justsexxx 05-06-2003 07:41 AM

She probably already had genital herpies. G-string wound sounds fishy... She could have got genital herpies months or even years beforehand from another guy and she might not even know she had it... or you had genital herpies already and may or may not have known and gave it to her from genital contact...

You can see at this point how silly it is... I read there's even a 1% chance you can spread genital herpies without there being an outbreak -- and doctors don't bother telling people because they would rather not have people worry about 1%.

Do your research you will see that you can't transmit genital herpies orally. It's a different virus -- different nerve bundles, etc...

Dude I am with this girl still today, 3 years now. She talked to the doctor. When she undressed the doctor immediatley noted "yep, this is herpies". She then told him we had oral sex and I had "conventional" herpies and the doctor pointed out that's the typical way of contracting it! So what are you talking about?

G-string wound sounds fishy... I seen the wound, she has shown it to me that night, a tiny red spot on one of her labia from rubbing against her string.

I don't eat her no more when I have the slightest signs of herpies on my lips. Breaks out like 3-4 times a year for me, mostly after intense exposure to sun...

C_U_Next_Tuesday 05-06-2003 08:07 AM

when you feel a herpes sore about to erupt..and you do feel them a day before...APPLY TEA TREE OIL.. this little nifty cures all when it comes to topical anestetics... will dry it up before it erupts.

Just make sure the sores on your penis have scabbed over nice and thick before she blows you. Then you'll be good to go.

There was an AIDS conference in Spain last year, where they concluded that getting AIDS from oral sex is pretty rare.

************************************************** **
[TITLE:] Risk of HIV infection attributable to oral sex among MSM and in the MSM population: the HIV Oral Transmission (HOT) Study

[AUTHOR(S):] K Page-Shafer, D Osmond, J Ball, A Hernandez, S Shiboski, C Shiboski, D Greenspan1, W McFarland, J Klausner2

Results: Of 10,283 ATS clients, 243 (2.3%) participated after 3 eligibility screenings. 239 (98.3%) were MSM (median age=39 yrs) who had performed ROI on a median of 3 partners; 98% without condoms. 35% were exposed to ejaculate in their mouth; 28% performed ROI on a known HIV+ partner. Of those, 81% did not use a condom and 39% reported swallowing ejaculate. No (0) recently acquired HIV infections were detected, and estimated probability of orally acquired HIV infection was 0 (95% CI: 0, 1.5). Using our previous published RR=1.01 per ROI partner and population prevalence of ROI, PAR% increases from 0.18% to 0.56% as exposure to ROI partners and RR increases.

Conclusions: A very small proportion of persons seeking HIV testing engage exclusively in ROI. The very low probability of HIV infection in this sample confirms that orally acquired HIV infection is a rare event. The PAR% for HIV due to ROI is 0.56% or less. Since a smaller fraction (35%) of those who practice ROI have exposure to semen in the mouth, the actual PAR% is likely to be lower.

Yes. You can get herpes from receiving.

Those cold sores that break out on someone's mouth...are contagious before the break out...usually starting with a tingling sensation on the upper or lower lip...

If you are getting head from a girl who has herpes simplex I, you can get herpes simplex II......

That also works in reverse....unless you're not one who performs oral sex on girls.

my ex GF asked the same question after finding out about some incidents ... ehh ... either way the nurse told her it was ok to take it in the mouth and even swallow ... so there ya go WHO rock on! ;)

in fact the HIV virus is quite easy to kill, put it in the refrigerator for like 2 secs and it's all dead ... I don't know why I mentioned this.

Paul Markham 05-06-2003 10:55 AM

How many strictly lesbians have AIDS?

Don't ask us legal or medical questions, cos few here knoe anything about either.

Actually, my research at this herpes info site led me to this information: "if you have a cold sore and put your mouth on your partners genitals (oral sex), you can give your partner genital herpes." The upshot seems to be that if they are in fact different viruses, it's a distinction without a difference: oral sex transmits herpes from mouth to genitalia.

traffictrader 05-06-2003 10:58 AM

boneprone, if you want to know if you can get herpes from oral sex, come check out my mouth once every 9 months and I'll show you.

EDIT:

UnseenWorld
there are two types of herpes commonly refered to as stds herpes type 1 and herpes type 2, it goes up to like type 6 or 7, but only 1 and 2 are stds. You can get or recieve either of these herpes viruses ANYWHERE on your body. You anus, mouth, gentials, even your elbow. All it takes to trasfer is direct contact with an active sore. Usually herpes is restricted to gentials, eyes, anus, and mouth because those ares have the weakest membranes, and its the easiest for it to infect. \

Type 1 is commonly referred to as Oral herpes, and type 2 is called Gential herpes, but be warned, you can get either in the either place. The main difference between type 1 and 2, is that type is more often recurring, whereas type isn't always recurring (the sores that is, the virus is always in your body in both cases)

The most common cases of type 2 oral infections comes from oral sex.

Hope that helps

UnseenWorld 05-06-2003 10:59 AM

And as to AIDS, everything I know about it tells me that AIDS can be transmitted through any contact where bodily fluids mingle. If the chance of transmission is low, one has to bear in mind that 1% of the time SOMEONE is going to get it and that the chance of someone getting it is a function of the frequency and variety of sexual contacts. We've all endured instances of very bad luck, which should tell us all that if we tend to take chances in the area of sex, sooner or later our day will come.

well our day is gonna come anyway ...
but you're right, there is always a risk ... I said the HIV/AIDS virus won't be transmitted through oral sex even tho she swallows but that's of course unless she happends to have any sores in her mouth or troat or whatever ... in that case it's another deal.

always a risk ...
less sex more drugs!

gruffy 05-06-2003 11:03 AM

I'd be more worried about Hepatitis.. it can live outside the body for up to 14 days, survive a load of laundry in the washing machine and new strains are being found constantly.

traffictrader 05-06-2003 11:06 AM

oh, another note that you might find useful, if you know you have herpes, you may want to lay off the casual sex when you are having an outbreak, even if you are using protection... not just for the safety of your partner. Herpes sores basicly expose the exact membranes and whatnot that HIV attacks. I've heard various statistics, but you are something like 80% more likely to get HIV from an infected partner if you have sex with them while having a herpes outbreak, scary stuff.

natkejs 05-06-2003 11:09 AM

hepatitis can be caught as a side-effect from certain medications even.

but yeah the Hepatitis C virus is quite nasty, and it seems to be moving around quickly and surviving better then some of its competitors. although as far as I know it's hitting drug addicts mainly, although that's pretty much the case with any virus over here since there are a lot of needles being passed around.

right now I'm more worried about "soriasis" er whatever it is called in English, cause that seems to be going around a lot over here.

Your fucking joking right? It's in the blood supply still to this day. First aid courses teach never touch anyone without gloves, better off letting them die because they are estimating about %25 of all people either have it or are carriers for one of the many strains and versions.

Something to think about when giving the next dirty sanchez.

natkejs 05-06-2003 11:21 AM

ehm yeah don't drink the blood.

I think in general people are learning to be very careful with all that stuff, but I can only speak about the situation here in Sweden.

Yoga 05-06-2003 12:53 PM

NOT TO BE RUDE OR ANYTHING BUT IF YOU GUYS ARE HANDLIN BUSINESS AS MUCH AS YOUR SAYING.. THEN OPEN A BOOK AND EDUCATE YOURSELF ON DIFFERENT STD'S.

WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU WERE TESTED? AND HOW MANY CHICKENHEADS HAVE U HAD SINCE THEN?

traffictrader 05-06-2003 01:02 PM

THEFLY, the 1% change of spreading it without an outbreak is because of two factors

1) some outbreaks are so small you can't see a sore
2) sometimes just before an outbreak, the virus is present on the skin.

if you know your reccurance rate well, and you know what it looks like and where it is, you can eliminate that %1 easily.

The most important thing is for everyone to get tested.

Something like 1 in 4 americans have some level of herpes, and only 1 in 10 know about it, hell 1 in 2 will get some kind of std in their lifetime, as long as you get it identified and treated you are in much better shape,

I get tested 1 a year, if I've had more than 1 partner in that year, I suggest you guys do to... it can only help.
