30th floor. I hear ya on the vertigo. I get it when I look down the first time or so but then I am fine.

No hurricanes here. I believe they are heading up the Gulf side. Everyone we talked to does not seem worried.

It's not a hole. It is a piece of glass, that while you are in the pool below, and go under, you can see up.


But the beach sucks ass.

The tide is on now, but was told there is no beach anymore right in front of the Westin. Have to check tomorrow at low tide.

The Right Side of the Storm

As a general rule of thumb, the hurricane's right side (relative to the direction it is traveling) is the most dangerous part of the storm because of the additive effect of the hurricane wind speed and speed of the larger atmospheric flow (the steering winds). The increased winds on the right side increase the storm surge described in the Hazards section of this module. Tornadoes are also more common here.
