I read what you wrote and I know how people feel. I am sorta a newbie cause I was in the industry before and left... to join warez. There is no money there unless you cheat or force people. But I don't like that.

I don't crash and burn cause I know how to do traffic. My other site (cant post url cause they would delte it) was at over 3,000 people per hour. So much traffic that the bandwith usage was too much and I was forced to close it. This upcoming tgp will be different because there are a lot of good adult sponsers out there.

So much traffic you were forced to CLOSE it? That's no reason to close a site; it's a reason to move it. Of course, if you built your site on someone else's domain, and that's why you had to close it, I hope all the newbies are reading this thread, because this is why you want to buy a domain name and build your site there.

UnseenWorld is right. Nowadays you can get a domain for $10 and then pick out a server plan that's cheap to start with and will grow with you.

If you had 3000 hits per hour. Hell, instead of closing down, you should've pulled down all of your graphics and redirected them to me.

Only a freakin moron would close up shop with that kind of traffic. (Unless it was crap traffic from exits, blinds, pops etc.) But even If it was all crap traffic, I would have set up my index/warning page with text-only, a brief warning followed by enter -- exit, and the enter link would lead to a FPA, and a "no thanks" link to my main page where I would have a ton of sponsor links. Even with the crap traffic you should have been able to make a great living on 3k hits per hour. That's Over 70k a day???? Hell, I've been supporting myself completely from only 15-20k/day for nearly 2 years now.

Oh well, this is just another example of how high volume traffic doesn't necessarily guarantee a high income. I've been saying for a while now, it's not how much traffic you have, it's what you do with the traffic you have that determines your future in this businss. Think about it.

3000 hits an hour?? I was getting well over 10,000 hits an hour on my gallery submissions and had to shut them down real quick. The money was good but the bandwidth fees were more. TGP traffic sucks really bad!

10k / hour = 240k gallery hits in one day ? Did you get listed at TheHun and some others big guys the same day ?

people claiming to get 3k an hour and 0k an hour thats excelletn fucking traffic that we all strive for, its all about converting though and if you stick untargetted banners on a page not strategically placed then you are not going to make any money. People wont signup just becasue if they dont its unfair on you. TGP traffic can be good you just have to target the banners well. Some silly examples i have seen on sites eg asian gallery with a Gay sponsor on it. umm they may pay $40 per a signup but really who is going to signup. Also if like you both state you where getting 10k per an hour most of the webmasters here would purchase that traffic off you and ZAHA i know for a fact the traffic was poor traffic from the warez sites. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/frown.gif

Best gallery traffic I ever had in one day was about 200k. Most of it came from thehun.net closely followed by al4a.com and a few other tgps and about 30 small tgps. Thehun.net alone accounted for about 110k of the visitors. The gallery produced about 900 bannerclicks and 2 signups.
