Actually my wife and daughter are going to hole up at her sister's place. I'm not too worried, both our house and her sister's houses are block construction homes that have seen big ass storms before.

Do you have to do all that boarding up of the windows and shit? I love the Caribbean, but I'd hate to deal with Hurricanes every year or two.,

The streets are so confusing downtown..is that by Bayfront Medical Center? My best friend had preemie twins and I stayed with her at the Ronald McDonald House until the one that lived came home five months later.

not always that lucky down there, I was stationed at Homestead AFB when Andrew blew through...

...lost a car & some furniture, that was it...I was lucky...then of course they sent me & the other half to another state/base afterwards...that base & whole area got fuckkkkkkkked up....

big hurricanes trip me out, more than earthquakes and I'm old enough to remember the big one in the early 70s in LA....

I'm in Gulfport, around 49th & 25th S. I'm actually 1 block just outside the mandatory evacuation area, but my wife's going to her sister's just in case.
