(CBN News) - Democrats and Republicans are hiring armies of lawyers in Florida for potential fallout from this year's presidential election.

The Palm Beach Post reports both parties want to avoid a repeat of the recount controversy, four years ago. The John Kerry camp has hired 2,000 lawyers to defend him in Florida alone.

One attorney tells the paper the Democrat's battle plan for the state will create a "horrible environment," that it will be "worse than the 17-year locusts - 2,000 lawyers and Democrats, at that."

The Bush re-election campaign has also hired a legal defense team in Florida, headed by Gov. Jeb Bush's former deputy general counsel.
