Yes, do you have the sligthest idea what Techno or Trance really is? This is like Hits for Kids or something. Do you like the "techno-version" of "oh mcdonald" aswell? :)

Don't even start on saying that Tïesto isn't good! Read to your left - yes from Denmark, and no Sweden hasn't anything that compares!
Besides, who's into techno/trance anymore? We moved on, called evolution (ever heard of it?) Progressive trance is where things are happening (or in one of the many other categories within trance).
I would agree that most Americans doesn't have a clue, when it comes to electronic music - Holland (and Ibiza) is the only place that actually kicks ass beyond this Earth!!! :)

Project-Shadow 08-12-2004 07:19 AM

Justin K, Airbase, York, Paul Oakenfold & Van Dyk always have something good to play ^_^

I'm not American, and I thank god everyday for it :2 cents:

always haters that look down on people that hear a track / mix for first time. especially Euros looking down on US. always saying "that came out years ago"... "you're so pop", etc. all bs. doesn't matter who you are, there's no way you have heard every track out there. and there are so many flavors & levels of hardcore/softcore for techno and trance.

people, instead of judging others, suggest other tracks for them to listen to. especially in trance/techno, there are so many elitists. And I should know, I've got lots of dj,trance/techno domains/sites, traffic, etc and ppl always posting BS on my boards so I ban them for being morons. you know what, oracleporn, listen to whatever you want to and tell everyone to STFU, cause you're into what you're into. if you like the way it sounds, that's all that matters.

simple way to start, check out:

- beatport.com (itunes for DJs)
- djmixed.com (bpm site w/ info, news, guide, music etc)
- djexpress.com (launching soon from BIG record companies)
- djsites.com (i just bought this domain and building it for next year)

if you're still using kazaa/bit then go to google look for name of festivals and go get the old/new sets. i listen to this stuff when I first get up at 5am, cause the hardcore sets work better than coffee.

:winkwink:

tune into the music and tune the haters out.

so, why don't ppl tell us what's new/good to listen to?

Satisfaction 08-12-2004 08:03 AM

yeh that tetris song is a classic! great track! :D

Nightraven 08-12-2004 08:27 AM

Still like the fact, that I'm in Europe - when it comes to electronic music!
But this mix is one of the better I've heard, even though it's more progressive hardstyle (which is good, since I like that genre).
Recommend something that's good? Depends on what you are into. Personally:
Tïesto,
Tukan,
Crystal Method,
Prodigy,
DJ Isaac,
Mike Heart,
Antiloop (classic and still does it for me),
DJ Jean,
DJ Dean,
Dumonde (JamX & De Leon),
Cosmic Gate,
Hennes & Cold,
DJ Tatana,
Gabry Ponte,
Dirty Devils

Dat enuff for u, Mr. Love-all? :Graucho

thanks. i'll be getting more music tonight.

what about newer "experimental" stuff from:
oakey,tiesto,dyk and jules.

i was searching for it online and only finding older mixes. are there other search terms to use? what else? i'm spending too much time putting together sites and don't have time left to find or listen to enough.

thanks.

the best tetris remix ever....

dj rush - russian tetris theme

Explicit 08-12-2004 11:12 AM

the tetris theme is horrible man, i mean come on, it started getting to me in the 80's - how can a remix of a remix of a redundant song be any good.... :P ... check out the track "Coffee" by "Junior Jack" - you will be happy with it
