The first URL in the thread is http://www.monkeygreen.com/promos/servgalleries.php
To use those galleries, I would have to separately paste the link codes and descriptions. If I needed them, I would have to add (to wherever I was building a delimited list or whatever), categories and gallery types (pics/movies) and - again if I needed them - visit each gallery to count the pic/movie numbers.
The second URL is possible worse:

With this one I would have to deconstruct the source of the page to separate out URLs and descriptions before I could even start on visiting the galleries for any other info I might need.
Both of these need me to search and replace the affiliate code and if I did that and everything else I just described, roughly one in five sponsors will have linking codes (going via payment processors etc) which render their galleries unscannable, whether for simple link checking or for creating thumbs.
Let's hope it get's better... only about 80,000 galleries to go

Actually Jayeff, I personally have about 700 Hosted galleries with text descriptions available for affiliates working with me. A list for the entire collection of TopBucks.com's 5k+ Free Hosted Galleries will be available to all affiliates in approximately 4-5 weeks. If you need them now, hit me up. I have them all listed in a text file & excel file so either you or I can change it to your liking - right now it's url|description but I can accomodate you if your script or site requires differently.

I hear ya. After 50,000 galleries, I stop going to sponsors who don't have galleries with a description that is easy to mass copy and paste into a notepad. Now, the only modification I'm willing to is to use the search and replace function in my notepad. If I need to do more than that, then I will notbother to use those galleries and will simply move to the next sponsor.Originally posted by jayeff

fatpaychecks has hosted (movie) galleries with descriptions and also with the number of movies on each gallery, so you can import those txt files into your database instantly

The reason I refered back to your earlier thread was that there are sponsors who believe they are doing what your thread and others like it ask for (I started a similar one near the beginning of the year, which someone bumped recently). But although they have gone the extra length to do descriptions, in many cases the rest of their execution is so poor that they threw away the advantage they could have had.Originally posted by Alex from Montreal

If you figure that sponsors have together already invested well over $1 million in hosted galleries (excluding hosting costs), it's amazing that the majority are relying on webmasters' imagination and motivation to get the best return on their money.Comment
