Divorce because of VIDEO GAME
Is this possible?
|
Yes
|
Sure...these days, why the fuck not?
|
sure why not - some peopel spend wayyyy too much time on those tings and not paying attention to their partner
like me with my PC :1orglaugh |
Ask the people that play everquest. Im sure they can answer this question.
|
Many people are addicted to alternate realities that are seemingly much more gratifying than their real lives.

Quake Morrowind The Sims Everquest What other games would you add to the ADDICTIVE list? |

Other games? Hmm.. Stupid as it sounds, but online board games can also be addictive (chess, cribs...).. like Yahoo! games.. Well, for other MMORPG there was Asheron's Call 1 and 2, Anarchy Online.. |

Ooh How could I forget Battlefield 1942. I've been playing it almost non stop for the past 2 years. :1orglaugh

Also, this gave me a bit of excitement. :)
Online gaming is in a very unique location at this point :) .... .... there are several excellent and profound games that have been under development for several years :) ... there are all kinds of really cool stories of company buyouts, people getting fired, people leaving big name companies and starting their own, all kinds of crazy shit in the last 6 years. not all is fun and games... serious threats and stuff goes on inside corporations surrounding various aspects of online gaming, but... there are 2 companies that i know of which are being led by good people. if u want any more info, send me a pm, i may respond, aim, bongsusahn111 msn bongsusahn@hotmail icq 250348729 Also, I dont reccomend games for everyone, and definetly nothing special is going to happen for at least 4 months p.s. selling World of Warcraft Beta :p |
And we forgot Unreal Tournament. :glugglug

I almost lost Mrs. Bling Daddy because of a game called "Soldier of Fortune". I was so involved in the "game" that i lost track of time.... it is possible....
Thankfully.... I chucked that fucking disk before it was too late. Bling :2 cents: |
Yes it's very possible. I dated a very attrtactive woman for quite some time that seperated from her husband and was in thr process of divorce because all he ever did while they were married was play EQ.
That's it, he played EQ and ignored her. I never understood it. She was very attractive and fun to be with. How anyone could set that aside for a game was beyond me. Non the less I got some fun times with her thanks to his addiction to a video game. ;) |
Im 19 and i dont think i will ever get married!

It seems many of the LONG TEDIOUS strategy games like Earth and Beyond/Everquest thrive on the psychological need to protect a time investment.

Diablo is a bad ass game. I finished it in a week. Warcraft III was very addictive as well.

The thing I like about both VC and CS is that I can pop in, play for 5 minutes, have fun, quit and go work. On the flip side, I can easily spend a full day on either game. Games like EverQuest... I wont even touch. |
speaking of games...does anyone here still play mohaa? I'm addicted to that game.
|
Without a doubt this is a fact of life the internet has changed things forever...
|
it is possible that the video game could appear to be the problem or be the cause of the argument that eventually ends the relationship but if your relationship ends over a video game then someday it would have ended over a turkey sandwich or some shit:2 cents:
