What do you think about this TV?
 

I just got a call from a friend of mine who works at Tweeter, telling me they have a 55" Philips HDTV big screen for sale. I checked the price on the Philips site and it says $1899.99.
He told me they want $900 for it. Im thinking about getting it.

Heres the picture - Not sure if they have hotlink protection on though.

Personally, I don't like projection tv's. But for 900$ I'd take it.

Sounds like your friend is letting you use his employee discount. I use to work at a store and they gave me a 35% discount on almost everything in the store, magazines and food was excluded.
