Gurus...Which do you think a fresh wm should go for, revshare or PPS?
I've weighed out the pros and cons as far as I see them, but I am sure there are factors I am clueless about, so what do you guys think, and why?
TIA |
I always do a little mix of both. These days I'm only promoting my own program. I'm paying $30PPS or 70%. If you're interested, email me:

def pps over rev share.:)

Guru says there is no money in porn :1orglaugh
Just think for yourself: Is this site good enough to bring a few months user retention? After that decide, easy like that. |
Depends if you need a couple nickels or a steady stream of income.
|
Good advice, johndoebob...I just thought there may be some aspects I'm not aware of, but if it's that simple, I got it, lol.
Matt, I need it fast and hard to begin with...then steady in the rear.:1orglaugh :1orglaugh I'm thinking maybe start out with PPS until I've got enough business that I can take the cut to revshare for the sites that do seem to have the best retention. odie, what are the advantages, as you see them? candyflip, I'll definitely be in touch sometime today. |
Go with PWPS (Paid Weekly Per Signup) and reinvest.
|
I think PPS is the way to go for a new webmaster. You need money rolling immediatly . When you got enough aside to invest a little you can go on a good rev-share so you can make more money.
A good rev-share will definitly make more $ then per signup after a while |
PPS makes you more money.
People who own revshare programs will say revshare is long term, but it is LESS money overall. |

Everyone claims revshare is better in the long run but so far only Lightspeedcash breaks the $35 PPS. I have some ccBill ones that do ok but after fees they tend to fall under $30 PPS pretty fast. And these are all ones that have had traffic sent to them 2003 and I am using 2004 stats so some rebills were in place. |
PPS all the way... More then likely your funds are limited and you need the beans upfront.
|
a healthy mix of both...
do tests on revshare and if they don't retain, drop them, if they do, send more traffic.... |
Sooooo...
If, once I have my ducks in a row, I decide to switch to revshare on a program or two, and the performance is less than what I was doing with PPS, can I switch back? I know some programs just have a diff revshare linking code...are there any that lock you in? |
