Two tropical storms threaten Florida

(CNN) -- Florida's Panhandle and southern Keys could get a double whammy from two tropical storms developing in the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea.

Tropical Storm Charley is approaching Jamaica early Wednesday as it continues to gather strength in the Caribbean. The storm could hit the Florida Keys as a hurricane early Friday, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami.

A hurricane watch has been issued in Jamaica and from the middle Florida Keys westward to the Dry Tortugas, off the coast of Key West. A hurricane watch means hurricane conditions are possible within the next 36 hours or so.

I wouldn't worry about it. The storms will turn into catagory 5 hurricanes, change course completely and slam into south louisiana. it's just the way things work

Andrew was pussed out by the time it got to FL. It hit my home town full force and leveled it. Scary shit.

But fuck a tropical storm just go play in the waves.

Obviously you don't know anyone that lived in the Perrine-Homestead-Cutler Ridge area. I went down after the storm and my old neighboorhood was gone. Not a tree left standing.

less than 2 days and counting, i don't think even 2 storms can stop the event.

most likely, we will just see some lots of indoor activities

i saw a thread about cancellation of flights to Florida, seems the weather is not shift gears
