Just picked up domain, 589908 overture searches in july, any good?
 

I just picked up a domain, toygamehobby.com, the stats on overture says it had 589908 searches done....any good or what?

Those are key word searches.

That does not mean you will get thos type ins.

damn I guess I'm dumb, I just figured you would get the type-ins if you had that domain, I wish there was a place to read about domains, I wanna invest in some and try to resell, get the hang of it then buy premium domains and resell those as well.

In most instances you should never get any domain that's more than 2 words, nor one with more than 8-10 characters.

nope those numbers have more to do with searches. Im sure games.com gets lots of type in's. If i estimated the amount of type ins you might expect from a domain like yours would be about 3 or 4 per month. ( no offence )

overture is run by yahoo , but the search terms include those done with google as well

If your looking for easy profit. Just go to directnic.com check out the expired domains lists. Go thru the lists and check yahoo and google for listed pages on the expired domains. If you find one with some good links buy it , set up interlinking pages on the listed pages, add 3 new linked page to every listed page, link all these to every new domain you aquire , etc etc.

Toygamehobby.com gets no type ins according to the overture search term suggest tool. You have to type in the exact domain if you want to know, not the individual words that make up the domain.

And to get good type-ins you need a seriously generic .com,
eg Overture shows only 4810 per month for toys.com .
