party poker seems to be where I'm at right now...

thekebie 08-10-2004 11:06 PM

I am watching. With the $25 gift certificate did you have to deposit anything else to make it $50?

Party Poker has the easiest games and 888.com, but party is better cause the money is bigger.

MetaMan 08-10-2004 11:06 PM

nice nice, i used to love party poker, but ive had to keep it on the low with gambling hehe.

good luck though ;)

just remember cash out when u can, or just cash out a lil, cashing out a lil helps alot on PP.

brizzad 08-10-2004 11:06 PM

Vox 08-10-2004 11:09 PM

You are going to get your ass killed in that room, not the same strategy as the lower betting rooms.

I'm at 3/6 again :1orglaugh

thekebie 08-10-2004 11:27 PM

I deposited $20 into 888.com took out $175, lost $30 at 888.com and lost $50 at pokerstars. I find NL ring games are brutal. I will go all in or call an all in knowing I have the best but get sucked out. I also lost most of my pokerstars money playing tournaments.

Had to quit though, I was spending too much time playing, and found playing against friends to be where the fun really was.

mailman 08-10-2004 11:29 PM

im in the 3/6 who are you?

I think its funny that you complain about people that call raises on shitty hands, when in the long term, these are the people that are going to be making you the most money if you are playing well :)

Most of the time they are just drawing dead, and any money they bet is just serving to fatten your bankroll. By the time they actually win a hand against you, they will have lost several already - so it all evens if you play enough hands.

The 'idiots that chase you' are the morons that give you the odds to be able to play a winning game. If everyone played well, then in the end, there would be no point to playing - and in the end, our money would just be lost to rake.

I'll admit its frustrating to get bad beat by someone like this, but just realize that if they are calling without the proper odds then they will lose over the long term. And yes, I do play party poker. :)

I'd have to agree - I like to be able to punish people for their mistakes. Some people just deserve to lose it all :1orglaugh

It happens...you probably just let your game get too loose. Doesn't it feel like shit to be up a couple hundred bucks, then a few hours later have lost it all? Oh well - at least you're not losing anything more than your initial investment of 25 bucks

quit while you're ahead:2 cents:

beemk 08-11-2004 02:51 AM

cash out $50 right now, then you will have doubled your $ already when you lose it all

Living For Today 08-11-2004 02:58 AM

I only just started playing poker in the last month. Not confident enough yet to deposit my own cold hard cash in but I might throw in 50 bucks and see how I go. It is played differently in the real rooms after all.

xclusive 08-11-2004 03:06 AM

Damn I love playing poker but always have too much fun and stay a little too long but like they say only spend what you are willing too and you will never lose...

pornstar2pac 08-11-2004 03:10 AM

I'm down about $225 for the week now

Hosting-Quote 08-11-2004 03:52 AM

I'm addicted to party poker at the moment, probably broken even over time, some times I am up several $100.
It does get hard to stop yourself and cash in though :helpme
