So I have been laying on the couch for two days...
 

I woke up Sunday with a pain in my leg and as the day went on it got worse. So bad in fact Sunday night I hauled myself to the emergency room.

They told me to take some Tylenol and Ibuprofen and gave me a tetanus shot and said to see my physician Monday morning.

When I got in he said he could not tell if it was a bite or what so he gave me this strong antibiotic, told me to keep off my leg and keep it elevated and come back Wednesday if it did not get any better.

Well I am sitting here now still in pain and I have this nice little 2" dark red spot on my leg where the pain started and my whole lower leg is bright red like a sunburn.

Also I am running a nice fever and just generally feel like shit but I suspect that?s from lying around for two days.

Anyone have any experience with spider bites and the like?

Hope it wasn't a recluse bite...those mofos are fucking nasty...

The area that's affected dosen't really look like a recluse bite... I did a little research on it since that's the first thing that pops up whenever you mention a spider bite.

I still look into it as a spider bite. If not then you got bit by something you are alergic to.

Got an appointment in the morning and I didn't think about lyme disease... better go read up on that.

Just thought I would update those that care.. My leg is alot better now.

The doctor gave me a course of steroids and a cotizone shot along with the antibiotics I was already on Wednesday and it seems to be much better now.

Even drank a few beers tonight.

Good question... but who knows..

Probably a bite of some sort just too small to see any markings and without some sort of dead critter there is no way to be sure.

I am guessing it happend last Saturday when I was fishing with my brother.
