I must be getting old - BMW seems to be back in style again. I remember once when they were the must have yuppie cars, then they fell out of fashion. Now everyone seems to want one again.

I don't get it. While this example of a BMW rocks, overall I find their line to be "four door sedans with decent lines". I'd much rather have a Benz.

The BMW Z1 was produced only from 1988 to 1991.
It had an original sticker price of DM 83,000 which at the time was about 45K US.

Well the low ones you see have been kitted out that way. Normally they aren't that low.

I've always wanted one, but I think it would be too much of a hassle to import one from Europe.

The way the door looks is very hot.

yeah it actually rises up out of the chassis.
Door comes up first, and then the window.

I think it's the only auto to ever have this. And I also think it's the reason why it never made it to the US or Canada...

they must not have come with alarm systems cause if you look closely, someone stole the doors of those cars.
