why not get an opened box version off of ebay for cheap - if you can't afford the full price?

Getting one off ebay is your best bet. You should get one for half that.

Thanks. There are a lot of scammers and morons on ebay, so I'm skeptical to say the least. Also there are the old version 6 + version 7 upgrade scams.

Get a student or teacher to buy an educational version for you.
