Is Tom Cruise annoying in it or actually interesting?

when you look at the plot - a serial killer making hits with a hostage cabbie - you might think it's a shitty movie and something you've already scene. But the way that movie is directed keeps you on the edge of your seat. The combination of sarcasm, violence and non-stop action shed a new light on tom cruise. I never thought he might be able to act out a role like this, but that movie was amazing. The scene in the night club where he shoots a tonne of people, and the scene with the briefcase are unlike anything you've seen so far.
