Free hosts, what's the deal behind?
 

Hey,
I know that free hosts are a very old thing, but because it's "for free" I never thought much about it. I thought that it is something like GeoCity, but I noticed that many TPGs are hosting some of their galleries on free hosts.
How does the hosts makes money? The only footnote I found was:

16) You agree that PARKYOURPORN will use the 404-Error-Traffic for its own advertising purpose. We will never intentionally send your sites traffic to 404. Traffic from the following countries will be blocked by our servers: China, Japan, Taiwan, Indonesia and Korea.

Ok, he gets my 404-traffic (+ an eMail address), is that everything?

Which free hosts are you using? And make it sense to source out some content?

Most of them have headers/footers on all pages.

If your promoting ND sites you can use their free hosting. All they have is a footer thats added to your page.

As to you question I dont have a solid answer.

stupidcash offers header free and banner free freehosting.We ask that you promote stupidcash via your pages

I used a free host once, and it redirected all the traffic when I didn't loged on the server for a while.

Plus a lot of TGP won't accept your galleries.
