Jdoughs 08-10-2004 03:17 PM

Definately will watch them, i think i have caught the majority of the televised events for the last 20 years.

84 in LA was the first one i truely followed.

AndrewKanuck 08-10-2004 03:18 PM

Was supposed to watch them live, but have to go to Mexico instead :(

sickkittens 08-10-2004 03:20 PM

alexg 08-10-2004 03:25 PM

sickkittens 08-10-2004 04:59 PM

Who's favored to win the overall competition? US?

Theo 08-10-2004 05:05 PM

CDSmith 08-10-2004 05:15 PM

I'll be watching as much as possible, any and every event I can get on the TV here.

Soul_Rebel.... if you're in a position to catch anything to do with the games, anything at all, feel free to write about it here. Go visit the Olympic village and get some insider dirt man, that would be cool.

uchase/webpry 08-10-2004 05:16 PM

no

Raf1 08-10-2004 05:16 PM

I don't have much free time, but I'll try to watch some of the events

skillfull 08-10-2004 05:19 PM

no its boring :2 cents:

Theo 08-10-2004 05:32 PM

yeah,im gonna report back any news they get in my hand. I don't think is allowed to visit the olympic village now without an invitation, but some dirt.... :)

I have a family friend that she's microbiologists and part of the team responsible for the anti doping tests. She said it was bitch to deal with sport organizations because they didnt want their athletes to pass the new anti-doping tests. In these tests the athletes are obligated to give a blood sample, unlike in the past where only urine samples were required. They went to courts, but I didn't learn what was the final outcome of this.

cayne 08-10-2004 05:33 PM

the most of them.
of course the 100m men final is the best!

Mr. Mojo Risin 08-10-2004 06:47 PM

yes

almost all of them

BlueDesignStudios 08-10-2004 08:02 PM

yeah we all watch Thorpie in Oz :1orglaugh

Austin Victoria 08-10-2004 08:02 PM

Not me. Unless they air the events live in realtime in the wee hours of the night here in the states.

Otherwise the results of the events will be all over the web prior to prime time broadcasts.

The networks typically aren't very smart when it comes to Olympic coverage.

Steen2 08-10-2004 08:04 PM

Someone I've known a long time is in it, so for sure!

Mr. Mojo Risin 08-10-2004 08:07 PM

I believe Greece is 7 hours ahead of EST so night events will be live but the day events will be on tape delay which sucks.

=^..^= 08-10-2004 08:08 PM

The Olympics is not boring, you are probably not much of an athlete or much into sports. Not trying to diss you in anyway.:2 cents:

myjah 08-10-2004 08:17 PM

I'm not penciling it in.

Love Brokers 08-10-2004 08:43 PM

Have no interest in Olympics anymore. Too much drug use, too many egos....and lots of pay offs at the top echelon in order to host the games. But thats the world as it is today. Be interesting if Al Queda is able to strike with all that security.:(

MandyBlake 08-10-2004 08:51 PM

Nah. I more than likely won't watch the Olympics. I hardly watch any tv as it is. I remember being younger and off school in the summer, and watching gymnastics and diving Olympic events a lot.

Firehorse 08-11-2004 04:51 AM

I will watch some Gymnastics, Diving, 100M etc. :thumbsup

Nicky 08-11-2004 04:55 AM

Im going to watch almost all events that involves Swedes :thumbsup
especially ladies soccer and track/field

Living For Today 08-11-2004 05:02 AM

Absolutely. I try not to get stuck too the tv everytime the olympics are on but it never works. It doesn't help that Australia win so many gold medals. We will once again show we are the best sporting nation in the world per capita :)

xclusive 08-11-2004 05:13 AM

I'll probably just watch the espn highlights because I have way too much work to get done...

Sarah_Jayne 08-11-2004 05:24 AM

yup, I love sporting events like this. Pure human drama.

SkyRunner 08-11-2004 06:44 AM

I just realized, that the Olympic Soccer tournament is going to start in 80 Minutes...

So I put 10 bucks on the German Women's Soccer-Team vs. China... :thumbsup

Let the games begin! :glugglug

Ooh, there could be some juicy dirt coming from her then. Super.

The population of Athens will probably grow by half during the games, and with that many new people around there is a good chance to see some wierd shit going on.

Goatse 08-11-2004 09:55 AM

I'll only watch the events on which I bet. :Graucho

fris 08-11-2004 09:55 AM

not all the events, some of them. all of them do not interest me

Sosa 08-11-2004 09:58 AM

I will watch some of the basketball but that is it.

I haven't seen any picks, but I believe so yeh

CDSmith 08-11-2004 10:08 AM

If a Greek athlete wins a gold medal the whole country is going to go mental with celebration. Mental I tell you.

Although I like to see Canadian athletes win or do well, I do cheer on some from other countries. Aussie swimmers are always strong contenders, the long distance runners from N. Africa are the usual favorites in those events, and I always like to see athletes from countries other than world powers unexpectedly win something. They generally don't have the funding for mega-training like other athletes so their wins seem to mean just a bit more.

Corleone 08-11-2004 10:09 AM

i think i'll watch a few minutes everyday :)

Inde 08-11-2004 10:11 AM

Hell yeah I'm watching.

400m, 800m and 1500m especially. Men and women.

montel 08-11-2004 11:41 AM

nah.. i m too busy with work !! will just watch da highlights or news.!!
