Any Motor City Rockers in here from the Early 80s?

Do you remember the rock band Bitter Sweet Alley. Lead Guitar was Gary Spaniola. Big hit was 'Time to Move'. Here's a page that will take you down memory lane.

yup, a really fun band (not to be confused with the Russian band of the same name that had those cheesy triangle shaped guitars)

my favorite song of theirs was "My Girlfriend's Boyfriend Isn't Me"

You should check out Bitter Sweet Alley (link above). All their old mp3s are free to download from the site I listed.

They were a really good band. I use to follow them from club to club in the early 80s. They never got that big break, unfortunately. The lead guitarist and vocalist, Gary Spaniola, runs a state of the arts recording studio in the Detroit area and has produced some pretty good bands over the years. That fucker could really get the chicks.

Wow, great site! I 'm a little older but still remember a lot the bands.

"Turn up the radio" was from another detroit band,
The Rockets. Was thier biggest hit I think.

Forgot all about those old clubs too, Red Carpet, Bookie's The Ritz, Harpo's Etc.
