Internext Exhibitors Are You Getting Internet Access For Your Booth?
 

According to the information we have here, it's $750 US for an internet connection at our booth for 3 days.

Am I the only one that thinks that amount is a little obscene to charge for Internet Access for 3 days. Breaks down to being $250 a day!!

Is anyone bringing a wireless router? If so give me a shout, I will pay for part of your connection if we can share. :)

I'm fine with people making money, but this quite frankly is an obscene amount of money for 3 days worth of internet access.

Actually, that's a great idea if broken down amount multiple booths.

It was only $10 a day last year, so the price may have gone up.

No internet access here. Most people have thier laptops and can see when they get back top room what I need to show them. The prices are rediculous tho

I remember it being expensive. I don't know about $28.00, but still too pricey.

And, it wasn't any good either.

If I was giving out ANY advice, it'd be eat somewhere other than the Westin.

That is Fucking Crazy , I called the reservations , and the idiot told me there was no high speed in the rooms, she said there was a business centre where I could have access from. So I booked elsewhere. I did find it strange that a recent hotel as the Westin would not have it ?? :BangBang: :BangBang:

You gotta have internet at your booth, if you can't demonstrate to potential clients your clients sites and where your ads will go, you can lose them just as fast as you met them. It's a ripoff, but its AVN's style. That $250/day doesn't even cover a full day, it's only between show hours and they'll cut you off as soon as it turns 5pm. Great huh.

Dude, I'd phone back (I'm a cockknocker that way though) and tell them that they lost a reservation because their staff doesn't know their own accomodations.

Oh, talk to someone other than the 1-800 number. Call direct and ask for the reservations supervisor.

Ask them if they're using Florida inmates to take reservations.

Not only will you get a room, but probably a nice discount too :winkwink:

They lost business because of their own incompetence.

This would be a way for them to get business back.

It's surprising how much someone other than the front desk can/will do for you when you're having a problem and WANT to give them business.

I wonder if AVN is going to be selling electricity as well. I say $150/day for power and $250/day for internet. Soon we'll see sponsors hauling in generators :)

i just called the diplomat and YES they DO have hi speed in the room $10 per day.

I would much rather spend $750 on a nice lunch/dinner for my best buyers in Miami, then spend $750 on internet access I'm sure that will be dead slow the whole show long.

I won't mind spending 600 bucks for a nice bottle cristal but I would never even (even if i was as rich as bill gates) pay 28 bucks for a fucking hamburger.

btw: regarding the high speed at the room. The bitch I called told me exactly the same... media center... no internet at the room. I booked anyways.

What do I need to take with me? I am using a wireless connection for my laptop in the office. Normal LAN cable should do it, right? :)
