Weatherbug upgrade comes with forced toolbar download

I love Weatherbug and use it daily, so I was excited to see there's a new version available with new features. However, it did come with something I didn't like and here's a heads up for those of you who hate forced installs. There is an option to uncheck so the program won't change your default search engine but there is another box that can't be unchecked which installs "My Search Bar", another full line of junk to add to the top of your browser. You can right-click on the toolbar and uncheck My Search Bar to hide it, but it is not listed where it can be uninstalled through Add/Remove Programs.

The new program (version 6) has about twice the screen display size of the previous version (nearly fills my screen at 800x600), seems to use a bit more system resources but has a ton of new features added. I'm still a bit miffed about the toolbar (curious to see if Adaware flags it when they do their update) but would totally recommend the program otherwise. It's definitely the best free personal weather station out there.

You've obviously never used Weatherbug:glugglug

As far as spyware, neither Adaware nor Spybot classify it as spyware, so I will go with their ruling.
