SERIOUS IRS QUESTION
 

Hey Proud Tax Payers.. Have a very serious question for you.. In April I set up a payment plan with the IRS paying them $3,000 down and 4000.00 a month for the next several months to pay my taxes I owe em for the year. This was a nice set-up and they would take an automatic deduction out of my checking account every 22nd of each month till it is payed off.

Now here is the question.. When the IRS goes to do this deduction from my checking account tomorrow for the 4k, and it gets declined because the $$ in the account has been taken out to bet on the Lakers tonight what will happen?

What will happen when the IRS doesnt get their $$ on the first month of this payment plan I have set up? Im hoping that they will simply think they have the wrong routing and bank numbers, and will try again in a few weeks. Or will they come and raid the boneprone family and throw me jail on this first offense? Whats gunna happen?

Im serious here by the way. What is gunna happen? I payed in april my down payment and did my taxes, just dont have the monthy payment for this first month.. Will it be similar to that as if I didnt pay a credit card for a month and just give me a fine for late fee, and pay next month and be cool?? Or is this gunna fuck me bad and am I gunna have to raid my wife's account?

Its no big deal really.. I'll be moving outta here to the Netherlands as soon as the FEDS shut us down, which looks to be sooner than later. Why worry about my taxes when my country is looking to end us here in the next few months?

Hey BoardHog, it's really not that big of a deal. They have such a back log they won't find out until the processing is done. Which will be a few days, so you still have a few days beyond the 22nd to actually have the money in there.

If they money is not there, in a few days, and they call looking for their money, just disguise your voice and say that "boneprone is at the bank dealing with it."

They usually just accept my word.

Worst scenario, they'll come to your house and shoot you. If you've ever taken a bullet and lived, you know it's not that bad.

Have some experience in this area thanks to my last ex's family. They will ask semi nicely where is it, (could charge you with a crime for NOT having it in the account for a illegal or non important reason---gambling IS illegal in alot of cases)

you need to call them and tell them you made a numerical error in your account.

then ask if you can send them a check in the mail and resume your payments the following month.

the worse they can do is cancel your payment arrangement and then set up a new one so they can get another setup fee

just tell them "the check is in the mail, don't worry about it" - then they will probably forget about the money you owe them and never bother you again.
