"Boston" Greatest most ahead of their time rock band ever!

Man... I grew up on their stuff and it still blows away any of the shit thats comong out now.

The band had true artist for members, and not the wanna be musicians of 90% of todays bands.

Perfect band for screaming down the highway, top down, and jammin.

Shoehorn! 08-07-2004 04:48 PM

Boston kicks ass.

My favorite Boston song, "Amanda"

Babe, tomorrow's so far away.
There's somethin' I just have to say.
I don't think I could hide
What I'm feelin' inside
Another day.
Knowin' I love you.
And I -- I'm getting' too close again.
I don't wanna see it end.
If I tell you tonight
Will you turn out the light.
And walk away
Knowin' I love you?
(CHORUS)
I'm gonna take you by surprise
And make you realize.
Amanda
I'm gonna tell you right away
I can't wait another day.
Amanda
I'm gonna say it like a man
And make you understand.
Amanda
I love you.
And, I feel like today's the day.
I'm lookin' for the words to say.
Do you wanna be free,
Are you ready for me
To feel this way?
I don't wanna lose ya.
So it may be too soon I know.
The feelin' takes so long to grow.
If I tell you today
Will you turn me away
And let me go?
I don't wanna lose you.
(Repeat chorus)
You and I -- I know that we can't wait.
And I swear -- I swear it's not a lie girl,
Tomorrow may be too late.
You -- you and I girl -- we can share a life together.
It's now or never
And tomorrow may be too late.
And, feelin' the way I do,
I don't wanna wait my whole life through
To say I'm in love with you.

they saved my husband's life when he was in a coma. They could play Three Blind Mice and I would buy it.

baddog 08-08-2004 04:06 AM

greatest? how many times did your mom drop you on your head? :1orglaugh

The debut album is one of the greatest I'll ever own.

I remember WAY back when my uncle gave me a copy of the record - in the text it just kept saying something like, "just listen to the album" - that was so dead on.. One of the few things I've owned on album, cassette and CD simultaneously to suit my different listening means at any given time.

A few months break makes this record like new in excitement for me, I love that.

I have the first album CD in my car - LOVE THEM! They were the first "real" concert I ever went to when I was 14 (I'm NOT including going to see John Denver with my parents as a kid :winkwink: ).

They are getting ready to play at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi where my son's stationed. If I hadn't just been there last week, I would have gone back to seem them. :)

I LOVE Boston to.... :thumbsup

I am a BIG fan of ALL things 70's ...... With what all the bands did in the 70's musically the 80's and beyond have been a huge letdown.

Goatse 08-08-2004 11:26 AM

More Than a Feeling is the second most overplayed song, right behind Stairway.

The music industry isn't much about music anymore ... it's more about marketing

Totally Agree! Hell that Ashlee Simpson girl even has an album now. She sucks.... and totally riding on her sisters coat tails. Shes ugly and cant sing... 0 talant. While Jessica might not be the sharpest thing, shes hot, she has a great voice and is clearly talanted.

Ahhhh bring back the 70's when bands actually had to be musicans before they got a record deal.
