I host a shitload of sponsor hosted galleries on my servers. As such I am able to track every hit they get and every click the surfer makes on them. These results are not complete but give a pretty good picture.

The above reflects ONLY click thrus from the galleries to the paysite, it does not reflect signups. I only listed programs that I sent over 10k to galleries.

no offence but unless you also list the way in which the clicks were generated those figures mean about as much to us as master blogger :2 cents:

Well I don't have Nasty Dollars hosted galleries. the ones I have I made myself from their content. For this test I wanted to see the CTR of each programs own hosted galleries. 95% of the clicks on the braincash galleries are single imbedded movie galleries. I have been harping on how they get better ctr than regular movie galleries for years now. Every test I run just further proves that point, to me at least. LOL

in that case those figures mean zip unless of course everyone is going to be using the exact same text links on every tgp / free site they build

but they are reasonably good figure for you but others shouldnt expect to see the same numbers :2 cents:

I'm not sure that click-throughs are a useful metric.
Surely what's relevant is average revenue per gallery visit?

Some fo those numbers are actually shocking. While some have agressive linking (shows lower CTR for some reason) the least agressive seem to be doing better. Interesting.

choker...I remember you saying something about needing hosted galleries for your system. Are you still needing them? I have around 90 of mine lying around.

How is it not a usefull metric? Would you link to sponsor hosted galleries that have .0001 CTR on them? Of course it is not the only factor to consider, but it is extremely important. You have to get the surfer to the paysite before you can even try to get his credit card out of his wallet.

why is the CTR on JoviCash so good? probably because it's more niche-y.

try going to their site, click "hosted galleries", enter a random ID and click GENERATE LINKS

There you go.. every savvy surfer on the planet has access to all the JoviCash hosted galleries..

I can't but wonder why on earth program owners can't put their hosted galleries inside the webmaster area instead of having them out in the open.. or maybe, they wanna be the next thehun...

Sure CTR is interesting and has some relevance. But some galleries can produce high clickthroughs, but pathetic revenue. While others can produce comparatively low clickthroughs but great revenue. Ultimately the only metric that matters is which gallery produces the most revenue for a given number of clicks from an identical traffic source.

Yeah I am not surprised by those ratios. Click throughs on hosted galleries are not the greatest and some hosted galleries are just awful. I think our gay galleries though would get better ratios than the ones you posted though.

Well, we make big efforts not to look like a porn site and we display a strong 'No AdWare, No SpyWare, No Dialer' on our front page to reassure the surfer and keep the download numbers steady.

I guess VirtuaGirl 2 with pornstars and a much bigger size helped us to counter the effects of the spyware / adware wave.

Chocker, thanks for posting that info, it pushes me to add that kind of monitoring on all our galleries in TotemCash. It'll help webmaster to use the best hosted galleries we provide and help us to design better ones...
