Rafting on a class IV river, in a tropical storm
 

Sounds like a great idea to me......hopefully I'll make it back for Internext :1orglaugh


Seriously though I want to attempt the Class IV section of a river out here, thats over 20 miles long. Tropical storms this time of year can easily push that to a class V river though (highest level is VI for those not in the know).

Unfortunately I doubt pics will be possible in this one heh....

Guess I'll be in one of these cases then:

Class V
Long and violent rapids. Large waves that are unavoidable and irregular. Extremely difficult and complex course. Scouting is essential.

Class VI
Maximum difficulty. Nearly impossible and extremely dangerous. Class V carried to the limit of navigability. Involves risk of life.

One river has a 7 metre drop on one of the rapids it hits.....that would be fun tubing hehe:helpme
