T1 & A1 Connections
 

He guys. Anohter stupid fucking question from a newbie. Just what is a T1 connnection and whati is a A1 Connection. Curious as to the fact that I need to have a 1024 uspstream connection and people are talk in the above terms.

t-1 equals 1.5 mbps up/down.
a-1 connections are very cool, that damn sauce is very expensive and any price break kicks ass.

A T1 is 1.5 megs up and down. or you can get a partial t1 at any speed lower.

T1 is run through the telephone wire and you'll need a router with csu/dsu input. I like cisco.

an A1 is most likely an ASDL

given the choice T1 is my pick

a T1 is going to cost $400-$1000+

Better to get a dedicated server, or colocate.

How would getting a dedicated server or colocating help with his upstream?
