Basics equip for shooting content
 

What I've got:
A HP Photosmart 2.1 MP Camera...I know a better cam would help, but this is what I have for now.
A Sony Handycam DCR-HC20 Mini-DV Video camera.
Photoshop 7
Paint Shop Pro (not sure which version-don't use it often)
Windows Movie Maker
Pinnacle Studio 7
An office that can be used as a studio, too.

I would appreciate any guidance on lighting, set, etc.
We're catching up hubby's child support, so funds are limited for the next four-five months, but at that point I'll be able to invest more.

depends on the type of photos you want to make - for crappy amateur stuff get some working lights and go on.

for decent pics buy a camera, flashlights and rehearse a year.
