its a sad thing in music

when your fav. groups are in the twilights of their career and they put out shitty music...I would rather go out on top than put out outdated music that shows you just dont have it anymore :(

agreed. Same thing when you "discover" a new band and then they go all commercial. Really bad for the music.

i am very dissapointed at the current state of rap music. i used only listen to rap because everything was hot. the rhymes were good and made you think and the hard core street thug rapper was orginial.

now, i cant bear to turn on the radio nor watch mtv or bet. the thugs who lived through the real shit are now way to old to be rapping and the young bucks missed the real thug shit when things were original. they lived through the commercialized thug phase and that shit is mad phoney.

i think uk garage is hot now for black music.

:2 cents:

Ive broken out the old jams

Eric B and Rakim CD's have been in the trucks deck all week.

Follow the leader, paid in full, casualities of war :)

Yeah and what happened to rap that had substance, meaning to the lyrics, I keep hearing that song "Slow motion" by juvenile, it pisses me off that this guy is rich, he takes 15 words, repeats them for 4 minutes to a looped beat and gets airplay out the ass with that crap. I think he must have recorded it over the phone while sitting in a strip club somewhere jamming fistfulls of 100s down a strippers pants trying to look like a pimp because he has to pay for sex.

Metallica sold out. Velvet Revolver, Slash' new band are pretty shit too. Nothing compared to G&R. :(
