That noise is not them screaming, it is steam leaving the shell.

If you are still jittery about steaming one alive (dead lobsters = bad) just put the bug in your refridgerator in a cold section for 10 minutes or so. It slows down the thing and numbs it.

I wont eat lobster But I will squash it as I would any bug.
