JoesHO and JJSLIMM are proud to announce webmasterboxing....

Thats right it is time to find out who will put up, and who will shut up.. We will be releasing more details soon.

If you are interested in sponsor information please feel free to ICQ me, this is gonna be big, we have pro fighters as celebrity Judges, and are planning a rock concert in conjunction with the tournament.

we have a male and female division, and 2 different types of categories.

#1-- you must enter yourself, and be a known member of the industry, ( no ringers here folks, you can only enter yourself)
Pairings for this category will be done with all webmaster audience participation too ( this one is gonna be fun)
This division will serve as the undercard.

#2-- This is for the fighters only, shit talkers should stick to the lower class.. this is where a company can sponsor any fighter they want. this is where they bring the HEAT baby. we are looking to have a 10K purse for first prize in three weight divisions in this category. This is open to anyone that can pass the state required physical, and signs the release.

All applicable amature rules will be in effect, and safety is our foremost concern of course.

everyone will be required to wear head gear, crotch pads, mouthpieces ( I know crotch pads and mouthpieces are the same for some of you LOL) and bigger heavy padded gloves will be used.

GONNA TALK THE TALK, NOW YOU CAN WALK THE WALK.....

who wants some?

Varius 08-05-2004 11:10 PM

Depending when it takes place, I enter myself for the non-pro class :thumbsup

If you change ti to hardcore wrestling I'll enter myself in the other class :Graucho

I'm curious if YOU ALL are going to walk the walk now that you've talked the talk.

I think you're overestimating the participation in this from the kind of people that you really want.

grumpy 08-06-2004 06:59 AM

yeah, Nick only boxing rules ( we have to have a license)
and as I know several people like the K1, we feel boxing will be more of a draw for us, from an overall perspective.

but glad to know you are interested, Bo said she was gona put us together for a cocktail anyway, so this will be something else for us to talk about in florida :thumbsup

it is not about me, it is about the event, although I have been adding a little spice, by telling people I would knock them out lately , LOL ( and you all thought I was just crazy :) )

this is about putting on a good tournament, and having it well documented, and think it is a bad idea? take a look at the toughman contests, they sell pay per view like crazy!!!!

we will be offering DVD's, a paysite of course complete with a forum on the fighters themselves, a list of posible rivalries, and many other good things to encourage participation year round
from the webmaster community.

for the webmaster categories, we will add anyones name to the list, that calls out another webmastr, or that says they want in, then the GFY community, ( and the adult community as a whole)
will get to decide who actually meets whom in the pairings 8 weeks before the fights. so then the fighters will know who they are matched up against. I will be just another small cog in the big machine...

GREAT glad to hear you like the Bellyflop contest, and hope to see you there ( I am a co sponsor of that event :) )

The Bellyflop event is the must attend event of the summertime you are correct, and is set up for all to enjoy some good clean summertime fun poolside!....

the fighting tournament is a little different....:winkwink:

Sharky 08-06-2004 07:38 AM

There are only 2 individuals who I would consider fighting in this industry.. one is retired and the other is making doughnuts at the fair now. Not quite fair competition.

With some of the professional/amateur fighters in the industry now, you'd be crazy to go in blindly against someone. Getting regular out of shape webmasters into a boxing match is funny, but not something to be taken lightly.

Think webmaster celebrity boxing, MTV style. Perhaps you should require everyone to pass a physical? lol

LOL, several ...

I would love to see a Bradshaw vs KB match
or a Sleazydream vs Pichunter match
or how about a fletchXXX vs Oracle Porn match

etc, etc, etc, you get the idea right? we take several board rivalries, and we as a community get to pair the (willing ones only of course) combatatns up for the fights.....

But yeah on a personal level I have a few I would like to step into the ring with too , of courseLOL

as you have seen though , unfortunatly most of the possibles for me only seem to be talkers and tough guys here, once the possibility of getting hit by me sinks in to their head, they usually turn the conversation in to how uncivilized I am, or how much of a bully I am, or like BradM tries to do...LOL he admitted he is only trying to bait me into hitting him so he can sue me, and not be broke any longer ... so I guess I will have to let time tell who will be the first opponent of mine.

jm_247live 08-06-2004 08:06 AM

Very nice idea and in vegas of course porn and fighting is a great match I always wonderd why they never schedule the ufc at the same time as the show in vegas. It seems with all the conventions going on that week it would be a big draw.

Very True Sharky, we are not out to see anyone get seriously hurt... skill level and training will be a factor in the pairings as well.

Also yes the potential combatants will be required to pass a physical 30 days prior to the event.

Can I fight against two lady webmasters in bikinis and oil???

sounds like a fun event Jo...

but the realism is:

A. who would want to buy a dvd of a bunch of goofy internet nerds amateur boxing.. besides other webmasters?

B. I guarantee if someone did get hurt.. regardless of your waiver.. you or your sponsors would be sued.

C. I doubt anyones health insurance would cover any injuries.

I dunno.. i'm old and have a family.. risk vs. reward is just not there...

:2 cents:

dig420 08-06-2004 08:52 AM

how can I fight if I can't ground and pound?

boxing is too painful...
