Really shook up tonight.

Accidentally run over my dog today. He has a bad habit of running in front my wifes car when we leave the driveway and then gets out in the road and blocks us, her car is kinda low sitting, he usually gets on her side if im driving and runs, so she told me he was on her side and I sped up thinking he was out of the way, but he doubled back and crossed if front of us and we hit him.

He luckily is alive, but his back leg i believe is broken and he has a few skinned spots, but nothing severe. the vet said to not worry about bringing him in till the morning, said if its a broken bone there was nothing they could do tonight, hes drinking water, and eating, we dissolved baby aspirin in some water and gave it to him, I was so afraid I had killed him, hes my buddy. it just shook me up really bad, thought I had killed him for sure. Keeps replaying in my head...got me shook up.

Oh man, that is the saddest thing! Good thing he made it! I'm so paranoid about running over my cat! He sleeps in the driveway, waiting for me to come home, and I just know one day I won't be thinking and there he'll be....

I was really worried that he had internal injuries, but when we saw him trying to chase our cat on 3 legs 10 minutes after it happened we knew he was okay..heh.

Yeah it could have been ALOT worse. I wont be happy till he sees the vet in the morning though. im worried about the little fucker and mad at him all at the same time. We have scolded him so many times for chasing our car, we live out in the country so fencing him in would be stupid, but he is just a little wild man always up to something.

Its weird you should say that. one of my wifes friends was telling us a story last night about a girl she works with losing a child to a riding lawnmower accident last week. Its was horrible.
