This version is incredibly faster than previous ones. Don't know what they put in the gas tank, but now its flying.

Opera is rapidely becoming an aggressive competitor to IE!

Several years ago (when netscape was still the number one browser on the Internet), IE took over because it was:

- Faster
- More compatible
- Distributed in every machine

Opera is going up rapidely, because of the same reasons!

They just need to strike a deal with google now, to be the official browser of their new OS!

The difference being they jump on any vulnerabilities instantly and get a fix out quick.

Ultimately we all know no system is 100% invincible. :glugglug

Nice....and damn fast !

DamnGoodRatio 08-05-2004 08:08 PM

How is the speed compared to Firefox?

I was a huge opera user until the third or so release back. I'd have a few tgp pages, some gfy pages and some news open and the thing would crash. Does it do that now?

I've been switching to Firefox a lot more recently since it works with most websites that Opera doesn't. For example, you can't use Gmail with Opera.
